There is perhaps too much information about decision support systems in general, and too little about software and computing in this otherwise well-written and well-organized paper. The paper provides information about and samples of the interface to the JUNIPER tool (which is never defined as an acronym or name). The tool acts as a repository and collector of information, but the reasons why one needs the information make up the bulk of the article.
The presentation regarding handling uncertainty is a crisp lesson for risk managers. Assembling evidence is also well formulated. Both of these capabilities are in the tool.
This paper is suited to those interested in using software for decision support, such as senior managers and toolsmiths who work for them.
